A Moderated Town Hall on the ACA, Inviting Jackie Walorski
Over 18,000 Hoosiers living in Indiana’s 2nd Congressional District get their insurance from the marketplace created by the Affordable Care Act.* All of us are affected by its protections for pre-existing conditions and against lifetime caps, its no-copay physicals and cancer screenings, its strengthening of Medicare, and more.
Representative Walorski proclaims she’ll repeal it but won’t hold a town hall to hear how the ACA has affected us or to explain how she plans to ensure all Hoosiers have access to affordable, quality health care. The current plans are in a complete state of flux. Before she votes on a new plan, we want our Representative to actually represent us: to listen to her constituents in an open and accessible moderated forum (not invitation-only closed door meetings) and to share with us how she's responding to our needs at this critical time. Since she won't do it, the NICCHC has scheduled a moderated town hall and invited Walorski to come.
Join us! Share your story. Share ideas for fixing the ACA to make it work better for all of us. RSVP, then contact Rep. Walorski at (574) 204-2645 and let her know you’re coming and hope to see her there!
